Louis Labriola is the President and CEO of SLR Industries Inc. Since SLR's inception in 2000, Lou has grown the company to become the industries gold standard and rightfully earned the motto, “We Are Professionals”. Louis is an expert in structural concrete, site work, excavation, complex drainage systems, masonry and asphalt road paving. With his extensive knowledge and an unparalleled talent in managing all phases of complex and unique projects, he has earned an outstanding reputation. This reputation serves as a catalysts to success for the companies 25 talented, well trained employees which has proven to outperform its competitors time and time again.
Before starting SLR, Mr. Labriola was a dedicated employee of the New York City Transit Authority, seated in the elected position of Vice Chairman. He also proudly served as the President of the Long Island Asphalt Pavers and Masons Association (LIAPMA) for over 10 years.
As an avid sportsman, Lou enjoys boating, salt water fishing and riding and training horses. Lou is a Licensed United States Merchant Marine,Captain, He is a board member and Director of the Friends of Connetquot, a member of the International Game Fish Association, the Bay Shore Tuna Club, and the Islip Horseman’s Association. He currently resides in West Bay Shore, NY.
Paving and Demo Field Supervisor
As foreman of both our excavation and paving crews, Jose is there throughout multiples phases of each job to ensure the project is completed the proper way. Jose is the lead machine operator at SLR where you'll see him on an array of equipment including excavators, skid steers, vibratory machine rollers and asphalt paving. He uses this equipment in conjunction with his expertise in controlled demolition, pitch and elevations, drainage systems an:i d asphalt paving.
Born in Honduras, Jose immigrated here with just the shirt on his back. When SLR's founder Louis Labriola met him, he knew that Jose; had a great work ethic passed down from his father. Lou taught Jose the ins and outs of the paving industry. Teaching him how to operate equipment and guiding him to become the operating engineer that he is today.
Masonry Field Supervisor
Since 2003, Fredys Sibrian has grown and developed his skills as a mason here with SLR. He has worked his way from a mason's helper to Head Mason where he works as not only a builder, but a designer of our masonry projects. With thousands of projects under his belt, Fredys is one of the top masons in his field.
Born in Honduras, Fredys showed early on in life that he would always strive to be at the best in whatever profession he chose. While studying at the Cristobal Colon School and the Technological University of Honduras (UTH), he obtained a Degree in quality control. He took this degree and turned it into a successful career in his home country. Working as a Quality Control Supervisor for both Sara Lee and Hanes, Fredys developed many skills and a meticulousness that he still carries with him today.
Masonry Field Supervisor
SLR Industries longest tenured mason, Miguel Sanchez has truly developed his craft into an art. While working for SLR for over 20 years he has become a master in skills such as bricklaying, structural concrete, stone veneers and retaining wall systems. His extensive knowledge in the hardscape design field allows him to deliver masterpieces time and time again.
Miguel began developing his craft long before he ventured to the United States, Miguel is from Morazan Yoro, Honduras, Miguel worked in the construction industry for many years. lt was in his hometown of Honduras where Miguel developed the work ethic and pride that he exudes in his work today. Being a mason is tradition in the Sanchez family passed down through the generations, From Miguel's father to him and now he passes his knowledge down to both of his sons, Miguel Jr. and Denis, who work with him every day.
